Transportation from your resort is included in the price for resorts that are in radius of 25 km from centre of Corfu town. In 1936 Spyros Anyfantis opened Taverna. Over the years thousands of diners have experienced and enjoyed the warmth, hospitality, fantastic food and wine that made Mr Anyfantis and his restaurant world famous.

TheTaverna's excellent Corfiot fare has become legendary. Previous guests include John F Kennedy, Greek President Constantine Karamanlis and French President Mitterand, actress Jane Fonda and the original Zorba, Anthony Quinn. This does not make an upmarket taverna, they came for the food and the friendly atmosphere, for the wine and the dancing and most of all for a memorable night.

The reputation of Taverna that Mr Anyfantis worked hard for has not changed and under the care of his grandson the hospitality and excellent food remains the same today. The selection of hors d'oeuvres are unique and never ending. The main courses are juicy beef baked in parchment and succulent spit roast lamb, so tender that it melts in your mouth. Local fresh fruits and exotic desserts follow.  The homemade wine never stops.

The famous live entertainment begins with traditional music and songs, followed by exuberant dancing, with dances from all over Greece, which you can join in with later on.

The tavern opens at 20.00 and the show starts at 21.00. The finishing time is at 23.30.

• This tour includes 3 course meal, unlimited house wine and a Greek dancing show.
• The use of cameras and video-cameras are allowed at the tavern.

•  Bring a sweater or light jacket because the seating in the taverna is located outside.
