The first stop on this tour is the Achillion Palace in Gastouri. It was the summer palace of the Empress Elisabeth of Austria, also known as Sissi. It pays homage to the Greek hero Achilles whom Elisabeth admired and is surrounded by beautiful terraced gardens that offer fantastic views of the surrounding countryside.
The tour continues with a drive through Corfu Town. Taking in the sights of the Esplanada Square, Liston Arcade, and the Old and the New Fortresses. As we head to the west coast of the island we will make a short stop for a Kumquat tasting.
At Paleokastritsa the tour continues with a visit to the Monastery of the Blessed Virgin Mary, and then on to the famous view point 'Bella Vista', this is considered to be one of the most beautiful views in Europe.
In the village of Makrades we will make a brief stop. Here you will be able to buy olive oil, local honey, spices, olive wood products, ceramics and other souvenirs.
The final stop is at Kanoni Peninsula. This is where we can see the famous Mouse Island and Vlacherna Monastery, the most photographed landmark of Corfu.
